Cambridgeshire Geological Society – Building Stones Walk 29 May

Many of the building stones in Cambridge can be seen in fenland churches and other important local buildings. CGS has organised a building stones walk in Cambridge for Monday 29th May so you may wish to join us to ‘get your eye in’ on some of the common stones used, especially the limestones and chalk ‘clunch’, sourced in the local region and seen in both Peterborough and Ely cathedrals as well as in many of the local villages.
