Cottenham Tennis Club – Grant and News

The Tennis Club are extremely grateful to FECA for their generous funding, which has helped provide coaching and equipment for our community weekday coaching.

Rusty Rackets, Wednesdays 7.30-8.30pm

Kids age 7-11, Thursdays 5.30-6.30pm

These two coaching sessions are a fun, sociable way to get fit and improve your skills.  There is no need to book, and the cost is just £4 each for these term-time sessions.  We’d love to see more people taking up this amazing value coaching, so come and give it a go.

Over & In are a top class coaching team, who deliver our weekend coaching.  After February half term their coaches went in to Cottenham Primary School and Cottenham Village College to run free lunchtime sessions.   They also made very generous discounts on coaching for all Cottenham school children so we are really hopeful that more young people will be inspired to play tennis.  Email to find out how you and your family can access further coaching in Cottenham.

We hope that the 2 council run grass courts at the Recreation ground will be refurbished and playable for the summer season.  It will be great to see these courts back in use and it means there will be somewhere to play tennis during the day.  All we need now is a long, hot summer!

With all these opportunities to play and have lessons locally we really hope to see many more of you taking up or getting back in to tennis, no matter what your age or ability or where you live in the Fen Edge area.
