Fen Edge Festival 2022 – Get your group involved!
Dear FECA Members
I hope you are well and that you group has had a good start to the new year.
The Community Association is now planning the ninth Fen Edge Festival which will take place in Cottenham from 24-26 June 2022. The Festival is a FECA community event; an event to showcase the activities of FECA members and to benefit FECA members. Please do put the dates in your diary and let your members know.
In 2019, lots of FECA member organisations ran a stall and/or an activity to raise valuable funds for their group. Over £15,000 was raised by these groups. I hope your group will want to be part of this tremendously successful community event.
There are a number of ways that FECA member groups can get involved. Stall spaces will be available to FECA members as we seek to rebuild community activities. For those wishing to perform, in the marquee or on the village green please let us know.
The other way that FECA members have been involved in the past is through running stalls with games and activities to raise money. We want as many FECA groups as possible to get involved in this year’s fundraising and to do it in a way that benefits all FECA members. To support you we try to make it easier for FECA members to run an activity by developing ideas and buying and organising the necessary equipment. All you need to do is get your group together to run it on the day! We are open to ideas so please let us know if you are interested in running a fundraising activity.
The 2022 Festival organising committee is being chaired by Tim Jones. Annabel Gerrard Croxon is co-ordinating activities in the marquee and on the village green. Rebecca Bell will be co-ordinating FECA groups’ stalls at the Festival.

We know that the Festival represents an important opportunity for FECA member groups to increase their profile, attract new members and raise money. But most of all being part of the Festival is great fun so I do hope your group will want to get involved.
Best wishes
