Look Inside Cottenham Primary School

A report about Cottenham Primary School’s new extension is included in the latest issue of the Fen Edge News (page 13), but here are some photos taken on the official opening day, 19th November, a very well attended event. The special guest of honour was Olympic medallist Kristian Thomas, seen here with one of the School Governors Sue Arnold.

Shown in the photos are some of the bright and cheerful additions to the walls: an amazing mural created by Jez Brook, a felt mosaic which combines the ideas of children from Year 2 upwards on the subject of ‘unity in diversity’, plus an inspiring circle (where everyone can make their mark).

And the past is not forgotten. In a hallway is the old school bell, from the long-ago premises in Margett Street.
