Over the recent years, as a group of energetic local volunteers, we have been rescuing and bringing back to life the over 500-year old listed Tithe Barn located in Landbeach at the edge of the Fens. We have come far to make the hidden gem shine – from campaigning to save the Barn from sale into private hands to setting up a charity, undertaking historical research, fundraising to ensure specialist repair of the heritage building, installation of two eco-toilets and a long lease to enable car parking and more on the adjacent pasture. We have also hosted varied events from heritage and other informative talks, children and adult story-telling, theatre plays, concerts, country market, art exhibitions, cinema, play groups, yoga, life drawing, experimental music, our first wedding reception and family parties.
We a diverse team of volunteers and are keen to bring the Barn to life for our local communities. We are now looking for new trustees (as part of standard trustee rotation) to support the charity with further improvement works, events and learning.
If you have skills in one (or more) of these areas, we would love to hear from you – please contact us soon via firstname.lastname@example.org to have chat with one of us and to explore the roles further.
