The Association
The Association, under the terms of its constitution, works to benefit the community by improving the social, recreational and leisure facilities in the area of the Fen Edge Patch (Cottenham, Landbeach, Rampton, Waterbeach & Willingham), the catchment area of Cottenham Village College. Its members are individuals or clubs, groups or societies who, by their membership fees or by taking part in and assisting with various events organised by the Association, generate the funds for grants and projects.
Application for a grant should be addressed to the Chairperson of the Association at Cottenham Village College. The use to be made of a grant must be defined in the application so that the Finance and General Purposes Committee may decide if it is within the objectives of the Association’s constitution. The number and size of grants which can be given of course depend on what funds the Association has available. Grants are intended for ‘start up’ purposes or for assistance on a one off basis.
Note that membership runs from 1 April - March 31

Insurance Cover
Attention is drawn to the advisability of Insurance Cover for all Groups/Clubs.
If your Group/Club does not have cover we would strongly advise taking the opportunity of insuring through the Association. See below for the appropriate fees and work out the best deal for you!
Reply ‘YES’ on the application form and add the premium to your membership fee.
IMPORTANT INSURANCE NEWS
All organisations which hire the college need insurance! The Community Association offers insurance to member groups through a County Council Scheme with Zurich Insurance, which costs £82.69 per annum.
However, if your group feels that they cannot afford this amount and they are not regular users of the college, you may prefer the 'Pay as You Go' scheme where you will be charged 10% of any billing as insurance, plus a 5% insurance tax. An example would be that your let costs = £100 + £10 insurance + 50p insurance tax = £110.50
If you have any further queries about insurance or you would like your group to join the County Scheme please contact Geoff Redhead at the Community Office on 01954 288751.
