Sustainable Rampton – Pumpkin Festival – Sunday 2 November

Sunday 2 November, 2–5pm at Rampton Village Hall

We’ve harvested the pumpkins we grew on the recreation ground wildflower meadow to de-nutrify the soil and enhance wildflower growth next year. Now it’s time to put the pumpkins to further use. Cambridge Sustainable Food will be making them into a delicious feast to share at this community event. Magical!

Drop-in any time
As well as a scrumptious pumpkin afternoon tea featuring pumpkin soup, pumpkin scones with pumpkin and apple jam and pumpkin chai latte provided by CSF, there will be stalls and children’s activities.

Don’t miss the cookery demo, 3–4pm
Michelin-trained chef, Rowen Halstead, will be cooking up an autumnal storm of pumpkin-based dishes with tasters for you to try.

New weekly food waste collection
There will also be an opportunity to find out about a new weekly collection of food waste being introduced across the Greater Cambridge area in 2026.  Greater Cambridge Shared Waste Services staff will be on hand to talk to residents about the upcoming service and show people the new food bins.
All are welcome at this FREE event which will celebrate every bit of a pumpkin. Afternoon teas are on a ‘pay-as-you-feel’ donation basis to cover costs. We look forward to seeing you there. (Halloween costumes encouraged!)

Waste not want not!
