Cottenham Cricket Club – Under-11s team

We are planning to run an under-11s side this summer term for which both boys and girls can play.

This team will play some competitive games on weekday evenings in the summer term. It will be a form of pairs cricket where everyone gets the chance to bat and bowl for a reasonable time. Our home games will be on the main cricket square at the Recreation Ground.

We are looking for youngsters in years 5 and 6 who feel they are ready and would like to have a go at this. We will be running some coaching sessions, delivered by a professional coach, for this group in the Village College Sports Hall after school on Mondays, 4.30-6pm starting on March 28 and running through to April 25. Our coach is brilliant with youngsters and they’ll have a really fun time.

The matches themselves will start in May. Games are normally

10-a-side so we’ll need a squad of 13/14 youngsters to get things going. Anyone interested should please just turn up on March 28, about 4.15pm, as we’ll need to do a bit of necessary admin. beforehand!!
