Cottenham Repair Café – 23rd Feb
Cottenham Repair Café at Cottenham Community Centre (Opposite the Co-op on the high Street) on Sat 23 Feb 10am-2pm
If you have something to repair, bring it along – anything at all that you can carry – and we’ll take a look at it. While you sit and watch, we’ll have a go at repairing it, and you may even learn how you might have done it yourself! There’s no need to book ahead of time, but if you do and can let us know what you’re planning to bring and what its problem is, it increases the chances that we’ll have the right tools and spares. Should you have to wait, you could enjoy a coffee in the Coffee shop in the adjoining room.
- If you think you might be able to be a Repairer, but you’re not sure, come along and shadow one of our experienced repairers, and see what you think. (Bring something broken too, if you like.) A single specialist repairing skill – such as sewing or book repair – is also very valuable, though we can’t guarantee that someone will bring something that needs your specialist skill.
- If you’re simply curious about what a Repair Café is, just come along and watch!
