The Bells, the Bells……… to Xmas Tree Festival ‘24

Bells: Taster Session Saturday 19th October 2:00 – 4:00 pm

Hooray! We have SIX wonderful, rehung, and tuned tower bells, varying in age from 500 years to brand new. Following the spectacular inaugural events; the choral concert (with bells), and the service of dedication, in April, word has clearly got out, and we are receiving visiting bands including some of the best ringers in the country. Autumn Programme – Our events programme this autumn includes:

Family Harvest Festival Dinner in period costume. A revival of this once-traditional event, to be held in the Village Hall Saturday 28th September 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

Our ever-popular Pudding, (Savoury) Pie, and Quiz evening Saturday 16th November 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

We are building on last year’s successful (and widely reported) inaugural Xmas Tree Festival, with its imaginative entries and eager visitors. And we will again hold a gala dinner in the resultant forest in the church, on Friday 29th November.

We are hoping to increase the size of the “forest” from 42 to 50 trees, all with (battery) lights, and all in the church building. Again, there will be prizes for different categories of entries.
