Friends of All Saints’ Cottenham – Concert 29 June

The Friends of All Saints Cottenham are delighted to have another concert by the New Cambridge Singers this year. This has the heading ‘The Lark Ascending’. Their programme includes the piece of that name by Vaughan Williams as well as Partsongs by Charles Villiers Stanford which include The Blue Bird and The Swallow. The selected music celebrates how the natural world has inspired composers for centuries and includes works also by contemporary composers Peteris Vasks, Healey Willan, Caroline Shaw and Becky McGlade.
