Join in the Fun of the Yesteryear Road Run – 24 April

It is a date for the diary: the annual procession of vintage and classic vehicles which starts from Cottenham Village Green at 10am. Entrants come from far and wide, from Kings Lynn to Royston. Last year, as you can see from these pictures, there were military transports, classic cars and motorbikes, tractors and commercial vehicles (and a 1945 bicycle!)

The procession travels from Cottenham to Rampton, Willingham and villages around, all for a good cause: raising money for Cancer Research UK, based at Addenbrookes, to pay for the research into many types of cancer. We all know someone who has been affected by this terrible disease and this annual event aims to help to eradicate it.

More information, and entry form for your vehicle if you wish to take part, can be found on www.yesteryearroadrun.co.uk

Committee member Vivien Lampard says they all work hard to make it a fun day for all. But it is a lot of work and volunteers would be very welcome to help on the day. Just contact vivien.lampard@ntlworld.com

When the procession arrives back on Cottenham Green around 12.30 there are stalls and other happenings for young and old to enjoy.
