Willingham Beer Festival | 27 and 28 September 2019
Willingham Beer Festival 2019 will be held at Willingham Social Club on Friday 27th September (4pm – 11.30pm) and Saturday 28th September (Midday – 11.30pm). Entry is £3, plus a refundable glass deposit of £2.
Willingham Social Club and Willingham Action Group have once again worked together to bring you a Beer Festival to launch Willingham Feast celebrations. Proud to be community focused, the Willingham Beer Festival aims to incorporate as many local causes and businesses as possible. Willingham Social Club is a not-for-profit organisation which is proud and privileged to support many of our village groups who use our facilities on a regular basis. Willingham Action Group is a volunteer community group that exists to improve the quality of life for the residents of the village.
We have a specially selected range of beers and ciders from Elgood’s and other local breweries, to suit all tastes. The Porterhouse Gin Club will also be serving their speciality gins and mixers from their impressive bar. Delicious food will be available, and the Club bar will be open for all of your favourite drinks and snacks too.
As the village’s foremost entertainment venue Willingham Social Club also pay the same attention to the music acts as the beers. Live music starts from 7 pm on Friday through until close on Saturday. We have some exciting acts including ‘The Lightwaves’, our regular headliners, following ‘Amy and Eve’ a mesmerising acoustic duo on Friday.
Saturday opens with ‘Holly Jean’, a singer guitarist who was a big hit last year, followed by ‘Little Giddings’ a folk duo, ‘I Claudia’, a singer guitarist with a great sense of fun, and ‘The Macarnos’ an acoustic band playing popular covers as well as their own music to end the Festival.
Last year’s Beer Festival was a brilliant success and again, we’d love to thank everybody who got involved. Willingham Social Club raised enough money to complete a vast number of improvements around the club to benefit our community. Every year we learn more and are always pushing to make the events as enjoyable as possible so we look forward to welcoming you to another exciting community event!
This year’s Beer Festival will raise funds for the renovation of the Willingham Social Club community kitchen for all of our beloved groups and clubs to use!
